Tourism New Zealand highlights its offerings for corporate travellers

Tourism New Zealand recently participated in Experiential Planner MICE Roadshow that took place in Delhi, Mumbai & Bengaluru. The tourism board showcased its multiple offerings for corporate travellers across regions in North & South Island to over 200 event planners who attended the event. MICE is one of Tourism New Zealand’s focus segments for the Indian market and the roadshow provided a great  platform to meet with top planners in India.

During the session, Neha Bhola, Country Manager -India, Tourism New Zealand made a destination presentation on the offerings for Auckland, Waiheke, Rotorua, Waitomo, Queenstown, Wanaka and Christchurch. The attendees were also taken through team building activities, venues/ accommodation, gala dinners, adventure and food and wine available in the regions.

 Speaking about the event, Steven Dixon, Regional Manager - South and South East Asia, Tourism New Zealand said, “We have received a great response from the Experiential Planner MICE Roadshows and look forward to more partnerships like this that help us build awareness of New Zealand as a business events destination in India. We aim to highlight New Zealand as a destination that is diverse yet accessible through the range of activities it offers. We are pleased to see an increase in preference for New Zealand among corporate travellers and hope to keep up the momentum.”

 The Indian market is growing at +25.4% with 42,896 arrivals (YTD July 2015) with an increase in holiday arrivals of 23.0% on the previous 12 months.
