66th Edition of Nehru Trophy Boat race postponed.

Due to heavy rain in Alappuzha the 66th Edition of Nehru Trophy Boat race postponed.
 The KeralaTourism department authorities decided to postpone the Nehru Trophy Boat race which was scheduled to 9th August 10.am  to avoid  the risk in connection with opening of dams as a result of heavy rain in Kerala. New date will be announced soon.

The Nehru Trophy Boat Race named after Pandit  Jawaharlal Nehru is conducted on the Punnamada Lake, near Alappuzha, on the second Saturday of August every year. Around  two lakhs people including Tourists woos to Kuttanad lake front to watch this amazing boat race.
