Mr. V.R. Krishna Teja Mylavarapu, an Indian Administrative Service Officer of the 2015 batch, has been appointed as the Additional Director (General) of the Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala and Managing Director, Kerala Tourism Development Corporation. He assumed charge of ADG on September 30 and will take charge of KTDC on October 24. He replaces Rahul R. IRS, who is appointed as Managing Director of Kerala Roads & Bridges Development Corporation Ltd at Kochi.
He was very closely associated with the tourism industry during the great flood in August 2018 and led the team from ground zero to evacuate more than two lakh people from different part of Kuttanad with the support of Mr. S. Suhas IAS, then District Collector of Alappuzha, and Dr. Thomas Issac, Minister of Finance, Kerala.
