Tourism New Zealand appoints Tishtar Parakh as the Country Manager for India

Tourism New Zealand, the national tourism board responsible for promoting New Zealand as a visitor destination, has appointed Ms. Tishtar Parakh as the Country Manager for India. Based in Mumbai, she will lead Tourism New Zealand’s efforts to grow visitor demand and further strengthen and grow trade and industry partnerships in the India market.
Prior to joining Tourism New Zealand, Parakh served as Travel Trade Lead at VisitBritain, where she co-led destination marketing initiatives across trade and consumer segments in India. She brings with her a deep understanding of the industry, having led strategic campaigns, trade partnerships and industry events designed to increase visitor numbers and spend from the Indian market.
Tourism remains a cornerstone of New Zealand’s economy, ranking as the country’s second-largest export earner. India is an important market for New Zealand’s tourism strategy, offering substantial growth opportunities. As travel preferences shift toward authentic and immersive experiences, Tishtar will work closely with travel trade partners, airlines and industry stakeholders to inspire more Indian travellers to explore New Zealand.
