SriLankan Airlines Revolutionizes Aircraft Maintenance with AMOS NewGen MRO System

Sri Lankan Airlines has embarked on a transformative journey in aircraft maintenance with the recent implementation of AMOS, an innovative ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solution for Aircraft Engineering and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) management by Swiss-AS. By leveraging AMOS to automate the monitoring and coordination of aircraft maintenance, Sri Lankan Airlines aims to enhance engineering productivity, curtail costs, and uphold the highest standards of quality and consistency in MRO operations.

Mr. Arjuna Kapugeekiyana, Head of Engineering at Sri Lankan Airlines, expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Swiss-AS and embracing the cutting-edge AMOS NewGen MRO System. He highlighted the significant effort invested in transitioning data from their legacy system to the advanced AMOS platform and anticipated modernizing operations, enhancing efficiency, and upholding safety standards.

Mr. Chamara Perera, Group Head of Information Technology at Sri Lankan Airlines, emphasized that implementing the AMOS NewGen MRO System is a pivotal step toward realizing their digital vision. He commended the Sri Lankan Airlines Project Team and Swiss-AS for leading this transformative initiative, which integrates the AMOSmobile/EXEC Mobile add-on to streamline operations with paperless practices such as electronic work instructions and digital sign-offs.

The AMOS platform boasts sophisticated features and data visualization functionalities, enabling precise inventory management and cost-effective practices. Accurate maintenance work calculations and scheduling align with flight schedules, enabling effective management of aircraft maintenance limits. The system facilitates proactive planning of manpower and material resources, minimizing Aircraft on-ground (AOG) occurrences and maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Furthermore, the AMOSmobile/EXEC software extension empowers engineers and technicians to execute aircraft dispatch functions, request parts, monitor fleet status, and conduct line and base maintenance tasks through a touch-optimized app, revolutionizing workflows from paper-based to digitized processes.
