Tourism Professionals Club (TPC) Kochi emerged victorious in the BSNL 25th Anniversary Football Tournament 2024, held at the Regional Sports Centre, Kadavanthra, Kochi. In a nail-biting finale, TPC Kochi triumphed over Ernst & Young (EY) Kochi, securing the championship based on a superior goal aggregate of 9-7 across the tournament.
The TPC Monsoon Football Team faced a tough challenge from EY Kochi, but the thrilling 1-1 draw in the final match ensured TPC’s victory. The tournament also featured teams from the Ernakulam Press Club and BSNL Ernakulam.
Trailing 1-0 for most of the match, TPC’s captain, Martin, delivered a sensational equalizer. His brilliant free kick from near the halfway line found the back of the net, sparking celebrations among the TPC supporters.
TPC Kochi scored nine goals in their three matches, while EY Kochi managed seven. Sanil from TPC Kochi was named Player of the Tournament for his outstanding performance.
