Telangana is situated in the centre-south stretch of the Indian peninsula on the high Deccan Plateau. It was formed on June 2nd 2014, being carved out from North western part of Andhra Pradesh. Major cities of Telangana are Warangal, Nizamabad, Khammam and Karimnagar etc. It shares border with he states of Maharashtra to the north, Chhatidgarh to the east, Karnataka to the west, and Andhra Pradesh to the east and south.
Telangana riches with hills, mountain ranges, and thick dense forests covering an area of 27,292 km2. As of 2019, Telangana divided into 33 districts.
