Germany experienced a remarkable surge of 32.6% in visitors from India in 2023, recording 826,703 overnight stays. This growth underscores Germany’s increasing popularity as a preferred travel destination, with Indian tourists contributing significantly to this trend. A joint press conference held by the German National Tourist Office (GNTO) and the German Embassy in India highlighted Germany’s appeal to Indian travellers. This event, hosted at the German Embassy in New Delhi, garnered attention from various media outlets in India.

In recent years, Germany has emerged as a favoured destination among Indian tourists which is evident in the substantial growth of 32.6% compared to the previous year. This trend reflects Indian travellers’ increasing interest in exploring Germany’s rich cultural heritage, scenic landscapes, historic landmarks, and renowned culinary delights. Germany’s commitment to eco-friendly tourism further enhances its allure, offering travellers sustainable cultural experiences while minimizing environmental impact.
