Goa is the India’s smallest state by area and fourth smallest state according to population. It is located in the south-western coast of India. It is established in 1961. It contiguous with Maharashtra to the North, Karnataka to the east and south, and with Arabian Sea forming its western coast. Goa is visited by large numbers of international and domestic tourists each year for its white sand beaches, nightlife, places of worship and World heritage listed architecture. Goa has the highest GDP per capita among all Indian states. It was ranked as the best- placed state by Eleven Financial commission for its Infrastructure and ranked on top for best quality of life in India. The Administrative Capital of the state is Panaji. Legislative Capital is Porvorim and Judicial Capital is Mumbai.
