In a bid to bolster its financial performance and reinforce its competitive standing, Oman Air has revealed a series of strategic modifications to its network as part of its ongoing transformation initiative.
These adjustments entail the introduction of a new route, Sialkot, alongside the cessation of services to Islamabad, Lahore, Colombo, and Chittagong. Additionally, the airline will be scaling back frequencies on select routes while enhancing capacity to two existing destinations, Lucknow and Thiruvananthapuram. Furthermore, three destinations will transition to seasonal operations: Trabzon during the summer season, and Zurich and Malé during winter.
Furthermore, Oman Air has implemented schedule optimization measures, effective this summer. With a focus on the Omani market and facilitating key flows to and from Oman, flight timings have been adjusted for several destinations, prioritizing favorable slots to enhance convenience for passengers and maximize connectivity opportunities.
Meanwhile, the airline continues to assess its strategy to stay attuned to evolving market dynamics and identify potential avenues for growth. Remaining aligned with government stakeholders, particularly the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Oman Air reaffirms its commitment to supporting Oman’s socio-economic objectives outlined in the 2040 Vision.
