Indian Association of Tour Operators Annual Convention to be Held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh from August 30th to September 2nd, 2024
The 39th IATO Annual Convention will take place from August 30th to September 2nd, 2024, in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, under the theme “Resurgent India Inbound,” as announced by Mr Rajiv Mehra, President of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO).
Mr Mehra also mentioned that Mr Ravi Gosain, Vice President, will chair the convention, with Mr Sunil Mishra, Honorary Treasurer, and Mr Mahendra Singh, Chairman of the IATO Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh Chapter, serving as Co-Chairmen.
The Taj Lakefront, Bhopal, will host all convention activities, including registration, the inaugural function, business sessions, and evening programs. Mr Mehra stated that the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh has verbally confirmed his presence to inaugurate the event on August 30th, 2024. The Ministry of Tourism, the Government of India, and several state tourism departments are expected to participate, with around 15 states anticipated to be represented.
Mr Ravi Gosain, Vice President, noted that they expect about 900-1000 delegates from across the country, including senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism, the Government of India and the states, industry leaders, tourism and hospitality professionals, and travel trade media. Ten post-convention tours are being organized to showcase Madhya Pradesh to tourism stakeholders, promoting the region in overseas and domestic markets.
During the three-day convention, business sessions will address pressing industry issues with expert speakers. Mr. Sunil Mishra highlighted that, alongside serious discussions, there will be the IATO Run for Responsible Tourism on September 1st, 2024, with awards for winners and runners-up. Each evening will feature entertainment programs, allowing delegates to unwind.
