    Renaissance Ahmedabad Hotel has announced the appointment of Mr. Rohit Bajpai as the Cluster General Manager. He will be spearheading both Renaissance and Fairfield by Marriott Ahmedabad properties. With over 25 years in the hospitality industry, Rohit is an industry veteran known for his strong expertise and exceptional leadership skills, which have enabled him to not only build profitable properties but also position them strategically. As the Cluster General Manager, Rohit will play a pivotal role in devising strategies for both Renaissance and Fairfield by Marriott Ahmedabad to enhance guest engagement, oversee operations, and drive overall revenue growth.

    Mr. Rohit has a strong F&B background and has spent a significant part of his professional career in northern India. He began his career with leading hotel brands in India and joined Marriott International in 2018 as the Hotel Manager at Courtyard by Marriott Siliguri. His most recent role was at Sheraton Grand Palace Indore, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership and successfully established India’s only pure vegetarian five-star property, guiding it from a pre-opening phase to a renowned hotel brand. With more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, he has extensive expertise in hotel pre-openings, new projects, hospitality training for diverse teams, and profit center operations within luxury hotels across India.

    Upon his appointment as Cluster General Manager, Mr. Rohit Bajpai said, “I am pleased to take up this opportunity as a challenge with Renaissance and Fairfield by Marriott in a city like Ahmedabad. I am humbled to be entrusted with the responsibility of managing overall hotel operations for both properties.”

    Rohit is an alumnus of the Institute of Hotel Management, Dadar, Mumbai, and hails from New Delhi. A passionate traveller, he ensures an annual family trip to explore new countries. In his leisure time, he not only listens to music but also composes across different genres. He has a keen interest in exploring diverse cultures and is an avid learner in the fields of geography and theology.

    Mr Shafee Ahmed has assumed the role of Cluster General Manager at Gokulam Grand Resort & Spa Bengaluru, bringing over three decades of dedicated experience in the hospitality industry. His journey began with a passion for culinary arts after graduating from Asan Memorial Institute of Hotel Management, where he started as a chef at Holiday Inn, Bangalore. Over the years, Ahmed transitioned into sales and marketing, leveraging his talent for direct interaction and earning a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the National Institute of Sales.

    Throughout his career, Ahmed has held pivotal roles such as Director and CEO at Purpletree Hotels & Hospitality Services, where he guided business growth and mentored aspiring investors in the hospitality sector. His operational acumen was further showcased during his tenure as General Manager at E-Residences and Hotels, Express Avenue, Chennai, and previously at Gokulam Grand Hotel & Spa in Bengaluru.

    With a robust background in sales and marketing leadership at esteemed hotels like Asiana and The Raintree in Chennai, as well as K Raheja Hotels and Hospitality Services in South India, Ahmed has consistently driven revenue growth and enhanced guest experiences. His educational foundation includes additional studies at Malabar Christian College, which complements his expertise in both hospitality management and strategic sales.

    In his new role, Shafee Ahmed is committed to maintaining the highest standards of service and operational excellence at Gokulam Grand Resort & Spa Bengaluru, continuing to uphold the resort’s reputation for exceptional hospitality.

With over 17 years of distinguished experience in the hospitality sector, Mr Sodhi brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of success to his new role. Previously, he served as the General Manager of Alila Diwa Goa and the Diwa Club, a luxury Hyatt Resort, for the last four and a half years.
    Throughout his illustrious career, Mr Sodhi has earned numerous accolades, including being named the F&B Professional of the Year by Vir Sanghvi in 2016 and his inclusion in Hozpitality’s 30 Most Popular General Managers in India for 2023. His leadership style is characterized by exceptional team management abilities and inspirational guidance, garnering him admiration and respect within the industry.
    Mr Sodhi’s journey in the hospitality industry commenced with a solid educational foundation, having studied at The University of Huddersfield and the Institute of Hotel Management Aurangabad.     The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts has announced the appointment of Mr. Biswajit Chakraborty as The Cluster General Manager of The Leela Kovalam, A Raviz Hotel and The Leela Ashtamudi, A Raviz Hotel.Kollam in Kerala.

    Mr. Chakraborty has over 35 years of experience spread across major Indian Brands like Leela, Oberoi, Taj, and International Hotel Chain Accor Group in various capacities leading from Hotel Operations, Sales, and Marketing to Pre-Openings. He is returning to Kerala to lead the iconic beach destination hotel The Leela Kovalam A Raviz Hotel and the hidden gem of Kerala Backwaters The Leela Ashtamudi A Raviz Hotel.

    While resuming his office at Kovalam Biswajit commented ‘I am truly honoured and delighted to take forward the vision of R P Group Chairman Padma Shri Dr. B Ravi Pillai in sync with The Leela Palaces Hotels and Resorts in these two stunning properties.
