Uttar Pradesh is all set to go big on the tourism circuit as the state cabinet has given a nod to four new heliports. These new heliports were initially proposed by the state tourism board and would come up in the prominent tourist-famous cities of Lucknow, Prayagraj, Mathura, and Agra. The new heliports would be used for a number of vertical lift aircrafts other than helicopters.
Union Tourism Ministry has also issued an official document on the same, stating that “With a view to promoting tourist destinations, the Ministry of Tourism has issued guidelines to extend financial assistance to state governments/Union Territory administrations for construction of heliports under the Scheme of Product/ Infrastructure Development for Destinations and Circuits.”
All the four cities in the circuit are some of India’s most famous tourist destinations, with Agra home to the Taj Mahal, Mathura and Prayagaraj are much-revered by Hindus, and Lucknow scores big with its offering of beautiful architecture, a culture of its own and a cuisine that is appreciated far and wide.
Every corner of Uttar Pradesh is ready to move forward with new dreams and new resolutions. Many more cities are being connected with air travel facilities. This will give a push to tourism and other development opportunities
