UDS Group of Hotels, in collaboration with SKAL International Club Trivandrum, announced the 5th International Waitress Race, scheduled for March 14th, 2024, coinciding with International Women’s Week.
This landmark event, now in its fifth edition, will commence at 4:00 pm from Vellar Junction, GV Raja Road, Kovalam in Thiruvananthapuram, with participants racing approximately 900 meters to Samudra Beach. Each participant will showcase their agility and skill by carrying a tray adorned with 2 to 3 bottles filled with water.
Winners who demonstrate adherence to the race rules and parameters will be honoured with prestigious trophies, certificates, and cash prizes, while all participants will receive well-deserved participation certificates.
The International Waitress Race serves as an annual celebration observed in honor of International Women’s Week, aiming to empower and uplift the waitress fraternity. By participating in this unique event, contestants are encouraged to recognize their value and rightful place in society.
The event has garnered widespread support from leading hospitality leaders, travel tour operators, airlines, and tourism associations, as well as prominent hotels from Kerala and catering colleges across India.
