UDS Group of Hotels and SKAL International India, has announced the 6th edition of the International Waitress Race, a vibrant celebration of skill, dedication, and women’s empowerment, to be held on March 11th, 2025, in conjunction with International Women’s Week at famous beach destination, Kovalam in Kerala – God’s Own Country.
The race will commence at 4:00 PM on March 11, 2025 from Vellar Junction, GV Raja Road, KOvalam near City of Trivandrum, culminating at Samudra Beach, covering an approximate distance of 900 meters. Participants will showcase their skills and balance by carrying trays placed with 2-3 water-filled bottles, adhering to specific rules and parameters.
Winners will be recognized with trophies, certificates, and cash prizes, while all participants will receive certificates of participation. This annual event aims to elevate the profile of the waitress fraternity, fostering a sense of pride and acknowledging their invaluable contribution to the hospitality industry.

In addition to the race, the day will feature a Bed Making Competition and a Mocktail Competition during the morning hours, showcasing the diverse talents within the hospitality sector. The winners of these competitions will be honoured during the closing ceremony, which will take place at Uday Samudra from 4 PM onwards.
A significant highlight of the event will be the recognition of Senior Women from various fields, including diplomats, medical professionals, media, airlines, and hospitality, underscoring the remarkable achievements of women across diverse sectors.
The event has garnered strong support from leading hospitality leaders, travel tour operators, airlines, travel and tourism associations, hotels across Kerala, and prominent catering colleges throughout India.
