The Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, hosted an engaging Roadshow in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, at the Crowne Plaza Ahmedabad City Centre on 22nd August 2023. The event was attended by over 150 travel trade representatives, media professionals, and esteemed guests who came together to witness the glory of Karnataka’s tourism offerings.
The Roadshow aimed to showcase the diverse and captivating array of attractions that Karnataka proudly boasts. These encompass its opulent cultural heritage, historic landmarks, unspoiled beaches, verdant landscapes, sanctuaries teeming with wildlife, and contemporary urban experiences.
The distinguished presence of Dr. Ramprasath Manohar Varatharajan, Director of the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, graced the Roadshow. His attendance was accompanied by Mr. Ratnakar HT, Tourism Advisor of Jungle Lodges & Resorts, and a dedicated group of stakeholders from Karnataka. Their collective efforts were instrumental in ensuring the remarkable success of the Roadshow.
The evening commenced with interactive Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings, providing a platform for tour operators and travel agents to foster connections and explore potential collaborations alongside Karnataka’s esteemed tourism officials and stakeholders. The focal point of the evening was an immersive audio-visual presentation spotlighting Karnataka Tourism, wherein captivating visuals dynamically conveyed the intrinsic allure of Karnataka – its pristine natural landscapes, vibrant cultural tapestry, and warm hospitality. Following this presentation, an engaging Q&A session invited participants to delve deeper into the extensive spectrum of tourism offerings within Karnataka.
The Roadshow beautifully honoured Karnataka’s cultural heritage through a captivating showcase of Yakshagana, an ancient dance form that resonantly depicted the state’s artistic magnificence. The evening culminated with an enriching networking session, offering attendees a valuable opportunity to interact with representatives from Karnataka’s tourism sector and fellow attendees.
The Road Show extended a gracious invitation to travellers, urging them to embark on a journey to uncover the myriad wonders of this captivating state.
