Developing a broad idea about the travel aspirations and preferences of travellers based upon different regions in the country and devising customary tour plans has been the strong point of Turning Point Tourism. Mr. Ali Asgar Hussain, Managing Director, Turning Point Tourism LLC outlines the relevance of DMCs in today’s changing world.
Dubai-based Destination Management Company (DMC) that forms one of the topmost producing agents for sourcing travel business from the Indian market is the well-known Turning Point Tourism LLC – specializing in segments like MICE, leisure, destination weddings, luxury tours, etc al. The DMC is making a sincere effort to promote United Arab Emirates as a tourist destination for Indian leisure and MICE travellers.
Spurred on by a mission to perform things in a unique way, the destination management group took shape in 2013. Ali Asgar Hussain informed, “We cater to around 1 lakh Indian travellers visiting the United Arab Emirates. Indian leisure tourists are interested in visiting Dubai and Abu Dhabi while MICE travellers prefer Dubai. We strongly believe that to achieve our target, we need to be ahead and follow a different path than the conventional tourism market. Our business has doubled since last year and we hope to touch similar figures in the current year. Dubai is undoubtedly the most promising destination in the world and has been highly resilient since pandemic times. The city is providing a thrust to tourism ever since the pandemic has hit the world.”
The choices of travellers vary depending upon the region. Take for instance, the preferences of tourists hailing from North India will differ from those of the Southern region. Asgar Hussain said, “DMCs have a significant role to play in understanding the various segments of the travel market and delivering services based on the expectations of travellers. Armed with vast experience, our group forays into the travel market and remains focused. We strive to remain committed to the market in a bid to ensure that we remain ahead of our competitors.”
In today’s world, it is difficult to execute a travel plan for any destination without seeking the support of any DMC. “Travel partners and tourists are in need of travel expertise and ground support of DMCs that can help to overcome a lot of challenges,” further said Asgar Hussain.
The travel company is into hosting five-city roadshows including New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Chennai every year. The Roadshow is a buyer-seller meet and comprises networking sessions with travel partners. Asgar Hussain added, “We have received offers from big MICE groups planning to take up travel in the third and fourth quarters of the existing year. At the same time, our leisure tour packages are picking up steam. Overall we are looking for a great year ahead.”
