Vietjet Air has entered into a Airbus(MoU) with Airbus for the acquisition of 20 A330-900 widebody aircraft.
This landmark agreement marks Vietjet’s inaugural widebody order and signals a significant milestone for the airline. The newly acquired A330neo aircraft will be deployed on Vietjet’s expanding long-range network and high-capacity regional services, replacing the carrier’s current leased A330-300 fleet and facilitating further network expansion.
Mr. Dinh Viet Phuong, Chief Executive Officer of Vietjet, expressed, “The addition of the new A330neo aircraft is a strategic move aimed at modernizing Vietjet’s fleet comprehensively, enhancing operational capabilities to support our global flight network expansion plans. With the introduction of the A330neo, passengers can anticipate longer-range flights with superior amenities and services, all offered at more competitive fares.”
