Thomas Cook (India) Limited has unveiled the EnterpriseFX Card, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at revolutionizing corporate travel. The EnterpriseFX Card, crafted in collaboration with Visa and Mastercard, marks a significant milestone in sustainable finance as India’s first eco-friendly prepaid forex corporate card, constructed entirely from recycled materials.
The launch of the EnterpriseFX Card comes at a crucial juncture, as India’s business travel market burgeons into a US $30 billion industry, projected to triple by 2030 according to KPMG. Recognizing the escalating demand and the imperative to mitigate environmental impact, Thomas Cook has strategically introduced this innovative solution.
This pioneering card is meticulously designed to cater to the distinct requirements of global business travellers across industries, ranging from large corporations to small and medium enterprises. It not only underscores Thomas Cook’s commitment to innovation but also reinforces its status as ‘India ka Forex Specialist (#IKFS)’.
Key features of the EnterpriseFX Card include its construction from recycled plastic, symbolizing a leap forward in sustainable finance. Additionally, it boasts advanced security measures such as a paperless green PIN and a unique initiative wherein Thomas Cook pledges to plant a tree for every 25th card sold, offsetting approximately 30 kilograms of carbon emissions per card. The collective impact is substantial, potentially saving over 3000 tonnes of carbon emissions for every 1 lakh EnterpriseFX cards issued, equivalent to planting over 12 lakh trees.
Beyond its environmental credentials, the EnterpriseFX Card offers a suite of premium benefits tailored to enhance the traveller’s experience. These include Thomas Cook Edge reward points redeemable for holidays, flights, and hotels, complimentary lounge access at international airports in India, a complimentary international SIM card, and free ATM withdrawals among others.
Mr. Deepesh Varma, Executive Vice President – Foreign Exchange, Thomas Cook (India) Limited, expressed his enthusiasm about the launch, stating, “Our prepaid card business has been instrumental in driving our growth trajectory, witnessing a significant uptick year on year.
