Saeed Al Mawali, Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information and Chairman of Oman Air, together with the company’s Board of Directors, have announced the appointment of Con Korfiatis as the airline’s Chief Executive Officer. With over three decades of remarkable experience in the aviation industry, Con brings a wealth of leadership acumen to spearhead Oman Air’s ongoing transformation aimed at revitalizing the airline’s financial operations.
Expressing confidence in Con’s capabilities, His Excellency Eng. Saeed Hamoud Al Mawali stated, “Con’s extensive professional background and expertise in organizational transformation and strategy development position him perfectly to lead Oman Air through this pivotal phase of its evolution. We are fully confident in Con’s ability to navigate the company towards sustainable, long-term success while effectively addressing the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.”
Con’s illustrious career spans numerous CEO appointments across the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions, marked by significant achievements such as founding four successful start-up initiatives in Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Singapore, and China. Additionally, he has held key executive management roles encompassing finance, strategy, commercial operations, alliances, network development, branding, and marketing with some of the world’s leading airlines.
