THE Park Hotels, the pioneers of luxury boutique hotels in India, recently collaborated with Design Mumbai – India’s first contemporary design show with an international perspective, as the Design Feature Partner. It was held from November 6th-9th, 2024 at the Jio World Garden, Mumbai.
Central to this collaboration was The Richard Hutten Room, an exclusive room feature concept envisioned by the celebrated Dutch designer Richard Hutten based on the concept of ‘Soft Minimalism’.
Drawing inspiration from North European minimalism, Hutten incorporated warm materials and soft shapes, while blending elements where East meets West – India meets Holland. The design featured selections from Design Mumbai exhibitors creating a cohesive atmosphere across the bedroom and bathroom. As a seasoned designer and frequent traveller, Hutten deeply understands the value of a hotel room that combines beauty with comfort. His goal for the design was to create a space that guests would want to return to again and again.
The room brought together 12 furniture and accessories brands such as Fusion Access, Inka, Jaipur Rugs, JAPTH, Ligne Roset, Objectry, Pinktark, Poltrona Frau, Samsung, Scarlet Splendour, Simmons Beautyrest, and Vitra.
With this partnership, THE Park Hotels continues to hold its strong reputation as a leader in design-driven hospitality, reaffirming its dedication to creating experiences that are Anything But Ordinary.
