Mr. Shubhamoy Banerjee has been appointed as the General Manager of MAYFAIR Lagoon and MAYFAIR Convention, Bhubaneswar.
Mr. Shubhamoy Banerjee bringing with him over 23 years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry, is celebrated for his exceptional leadership and operational acumen. Throughout his illustrious career, Mr Banerjee has held key roles in renowned organizations, including ITC Sonar, Taj Mahal Palace, MSC Cruises, and most recently, The Orchid Hotel in Mumbai.
At The Orchid Hotel, he spearheaded strategic operational improvements, significantly enhanced guest satisfaction, and elevated the property’s reputation, positioning it as a leading destination within Mumbai’s competitive hospitality market.

In his career, Mr Banerjee has also served as the General Manager of Holiday Inn Express ITPL Whitefield, Bengaluru, and Sterling Holiday Resorts Limited (Sterling Kodai). Before these roles, he excelled as Food & Beverage Manager at esteemed establishments such as DoubleTree by Hilton Bengaluru, The Orchid Hotel (C/O Kamat Hotel India Limited), The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, and aboard MSC Cruises.
His journey in hospitality began with formative roles at Taj Mahal Palace & Towers, Hyatt Hotels, and ITC Hotels, where he honed his expertise and developed a reputation for delivering excellence.
Mr Banerjee’s academic credentials are equally remarkable. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management Klessheim, Austria (Tourismusschulen Klessheim), one of the most renowned hotel management institutions in Austria and Lower Germany. He further enhanced his leadership capabilities through Strategic Leadership training at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Kolkata.
With his wealth of experience and strategic vision, Mr Shubhamoy Banerjee is poised to play a pivotal role in strengthening the MAYFAIR brand and delivering exceptional experiences to guests across the group’s properties.
