The much-anticipated flagship tourism trade event of North Kerala, SPLASH 2025, the Monsoon Carnival, is set to take place from July 11 to 14, 2025, at Saptha Resort in Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad.
As the 12th edition of North Kerala’s foremost tourism event, aimed at showcasing Wayanad as a premier tourism destination, SPLASH has, over the years, brought together more than 6,000 buyers and influencers from across the country and abroad. The event is organized by the Wayanad Tourism Organisation (WTO) in association with the Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala.
Mr. Vancheeswran, President of the Wayanad Tourism Organisation (WTO), officially announced the date and key details of the upcoming event at a press conference held at the Press Club in Kalpetta, Wayanad. He was joined by Mr. C.C. Ashraf, Vice President, and Mr. Babu Vaidhyar, Treasurer of WTO, along with Executive Committee members Mr. E.K. Anil, Mr. Biju Thomas, Mr. M.J. Sunil Kumar, and Mr. Vishnu M. Das, Convener of SPLASH 2025.
SPLASH 2025 will once again feature its signature three-module format:
Business Meet (B2B sessions): Scheduled for July 12 and 13, the business segment will host over 500 carefully selected buyers from across India, with a particular focus this year on increasing participation from northern states. The initiative aims to enhance Wayanad’s visibility in emerging markets and promote the Wayanad-Kannur-Kasargode circuit as a compelling travel experience.
Outdoor Activities: Highlighting Wayanad’s natural beauty and adventurous spirit, the outdoor component will include Mud football, Cycling, Trekking, and traditional sports. These events will be conducted with the support of the Wayanad District Sports Council and DTPC Wayanad, with further details to be finalized and announced shortly.
Entertainment Events: Designed to celebrate the cultural vibrancy of the region, the entertainment module promises an engaging and memorable experience for all attendees. This year’s seller participation is expected to include tourism service providers from Wayanad, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kasargode, as well as from neighboring regions including Coorg, Mysore, and the Nilgiris. Registration for buyers is currently open and will close on May 15, 2025. Already, over 300 buyers have registered, and the selection process for the final 500 will commence immediately after the deadline.
on April 3, a meeting was convened with all key tourism organizations to ensure coordinated efforts in making SPLASH 2025 a grand success. With strong backing from the district administration and the enthusiastic support of stakeholders, SPLASH 2025 is poised to reinvigorate the tourism economy of Wayanad and give a significant boost to the upcoming winter season.
