Leading multinational conglomerate Lulu Group has announced the promotion of Mr. V. Nandakumar to the position of Director of Marketing & Communications. This elevation comes after his tenure as the group’s Chief Communications Officer.
In his newly appointed role, Nandakumar will be responsible for leading Lulu Group’s global strategies across marketing, corporate communications, digital and social media presence, and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Lulu Group’s diverse business interests primarily encompass hypermarkets, shopping malls, online retail, hospitality, and food processing.
Nandakumar brings nearly two decades of experience with the multinational Lulu Group to this expanded role, having progressively advanced through various positions within the organization. His professional background also includes work with major media organizations such as The Times of India and the Indian Express.
Before his current promotion, Nandakumar served as the Chief Communications Officer for the Abu Dhabi-headquartered hypermarket chain. His extensive experience within Lulu Group includes nearly 20 years of progressive responsibility across different portfolios. According to his professional history, Nandakumar’s journey with Lulu Group began in 2001 when he joined as an Advertising Coordinator. He also held the positions of the Group’s Chief Communications Officer from 2012 to 2020 and Manager of Advertising & Promotions from 2006 to 2012.
A respected and recognized figure in the retail and marketing sectors, Nandakumar was recently acknowledged as one of the top five marketing professionals in the Middle East by Forbes, a leading business publication.
Nandakumar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Business from Sambalpur University.
