A History of Entertainment and Hospitality
Mr. Chhibber’s appointment marks a pivotal moment in the company’s evolution, which has a long-standing history of integrating hospitality and entertainment into its properties.
Beginning with the launch of High Street Phoenix (HSP) in 1987, the company’s flagship center was designed as a comprehensive consumption hub featuring retail, entertainment, and residential spaces. This focus on guest experience expanded with the introduction of India’s largest bowling and gaming arena in 1996.
In the luxury hospitality space, The Phoenix Mills made a significant entry with the launch of the five-star Palladium Hotel in Mumbai in 2012. Just three years later, in 2015, the property was rebranded as the prestigious St. Regis, cementing its place as a top-tier luxury destination. The same year, the company further diversified its hotel offerings with the launch of the Courtyard by Marriott in Agra.
The group has also diversified into the Food & Beverage sector, entertainment zones, and commercial office spaces, creating vibrant urban ecosystems. Its integrated approach combines retail, dining, hospitality, and residential offerings under one roof, redefining urban lifestyle experiences.
With Mr. Chhibber now steering the hospitality division, Phoenix Mills is poised to scale new heights in the Indian luxury hospitality sector, building on its legacy and embracing future growth with confidence.
