ITB India 2025 Concludes with Record International Turnout, Cementing Its Role as a Key Gateway to South Asia’s Travel Market

ITB India 2025, the leading B2B travel trade show, successfully concluded its third in-person edition on September 4, 2025 at the Jio World Convention Centre. Co-located with MICE Show India and Travel Tech India, the event gathered over 600 travel trade buyers and 400 exhibitors, with more than half of the participants coming from international markets. Over three days, the show facilitated nearly 4,000 confirmed one-on-one business meetings, signaling a strong renewed energy in the South Asian tourism industry.

Insights from the ITB India Conference

The ITB India Conference 2025, held under the theme “The Business of Experience: Curated Travel for Targeted Growth,” provided over 1,440 minutes of content across 40 sessions. More than 80 industry leaders from brands like Google, MakeMyTrip, Thomas Cook India, and SOTC shared their expertise.

Key themes and speaker highlights included:

Experiential Travel: Tourism veteran Prateek Hira, Founder & CEO of Tornos, noted that “Today’s traveler is no longer just sightseeing; they are sight-experiencing.” The new Experiential Travel track, which covered topics from film tourism to sustainable journeys, was a highlight.

Digital Transformation: The conference put a strong focus on technology, with a panel featuring leaders from Rezlive.com, TBO.com, and Skyscanner discussing the role of AI and automation in creating future-ready travel ecosystems. Santosh P., Founder of WSH, explored how digital-first behaviors are reshaping travel for Gen Z and millennial travelers.

MICE and Hospitality: Parveen Chander, EVP of Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL), discussed how innovation is redefining MICE hospitality, while an expert panel addressed content fragmentation in travel bookings and strategies to boost visibility using AI.

Exhibitor Showcases and Partner States

The exhibition floor buzzed with activity from prominent global tourism boards, including Wonderful Indonesia, Visit Northern Finland, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism Oman, and the Sarawak Tourism Board. India’s own rich diversity was on display through the Official Partner States of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh.

The event reinforced its role in uniting the Indian and South Asian travel markets. ITB India will return from September 2-4, 2026, to the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. Super Early Bird rates for booth registration are available until May 15, 2026.
