Akbar Group Founder K.V. Abdul Nasser Wins TASK Lifetime Travel Excellence Award 2025

“If the government continues, Kerala will be promoted as the world’s best tourism destination”: Kerala Indusries Minister P. Rajeev
Akbar Group Founder and CMD K.V. Abdul Nasser, one of India’s most visionary travel entrepreneurs, was honoured with the Lifetime Travel Excellence Award 2025 by Travel and Tours Agents Survival Kerala (TASK). The award was presented by Kerala Industries and Law Minister P. Rajeev during TASK’s annual conference Synergy 2025, held at Taj Vivanta, Ernakulam on November 20, 2025.
Addressing a packed gathering of travel professionals, Minister P. Rajeev said that if the present government continues in office, Kerala will be positioned and promoted as the world’s best tourism destination. He added that the government’s ongoing initiatives have already transformed the state’s investment climate.
“Kerala has made a big difference in investment friendliness. World-class companies have emerged. When Kerala came first in the Ease of Doing Business index, some said no such award existed. When we won it again, those criticisms disappeared,” the minister remarked.
Using a powerful analogy, he noted, “If the Vehicle continues to move forward, challenges ahead can be resolved. But if the vehicle changes hands, the journey starts from the beginning – and if not driven properly, things can become complicated again.”
Minister Rajeev also highlighted the vital role TASK can play in enhancing Kerala’s tourism potential.
