Milestone resort reinforces hospitality giant’s expansion strategy in one of its top three global markets
Marriott International has reached a significant milestone with the opening of The Westin Jaipur Kant Kalwar Resort & Spa, marking the company’s 200th property in India. The wellness-focused resort represents Westin Hotels & Resorts’ debut in Rajasthan’s capital city, one of the country’s premier leisure destinations.
Spread across nine acres at the foothills of the Aravali range, the property underscores Marriott’s deepening commitment to the Indian market. The company has recently expanded its Hindi-language website to enhance accessibility for domestic travelers.
“Celebrating the opening of our 200th property in India is a defining moment for Marriott International and a reflection of the continued trust our guests and owners place in our brands,” said Kiran Andicot, Senior Vice President, South Asia, Marriott International. “This achievement is also a testament to the resilience of the Indian hospitality sector and the strong demand we continue to see across leisure and business segments.”
With 200 operational properties spanning 18 brands and a robust pipeline of nearly 150 hotels, Marriott continues strengthening its footprint across major metropolitan centers and emerging destinations nationwide. India ranks among Marriott’s top three priority markets globally, driven by expanding domestic travel, rising affluence, and growing tourism infrastructure investments.
The new resort serves nearly 260 million Marriott Bonvoy members worldwide, offering seamless access to rewards and experiences across the country.
