‘Global Traveler Tested Reader Survey Awards’, one of the most respected awards in the business travel industry as awarded Qatar Airways three distinguished honors, like ‘Best Airline for International First Class,’ ‘Best First-Class Seat Design,’ and ‘Best Airline in the Middle East,’. It is for the second consecutive year that the airline received the credit.
The awards are voted on by frequent affluent international travellers, with 93 per cent travelling internationally on a regular basis, primarily in the first and business class. The awards are an unbiased reflection as they are based solely on reader votes. Qatar Airways was honoured with the awards at a private event at The Peninsula Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “It is a great pleasure to be recognised by travellers for the second consecutive year for our luxury, state-of-the-art product and outstanding service. We are excited to bring a new level of innovation and comfort to our dedicated passengers with the much-anticipated U.S. arrival of our Qsuite business class experience to New York’s JFK this month, creating a First Class experience in Business Class.”
The awards were presented ahead of the launch of Qatar Airways’ highly-anticipated Qsuite Business Class seat on flights from Hamad International Airport (HIA) to John F. Kennedy International Airport, commencing 16 December, 2017. Qatar Airways has already received a number of other recognitions this year, including ‘Airline of the Year’ by the prestigious 2017 Skytrax World Airline Awards.
