Ms. Mrunmai Joshi, IAS has joined as the new Additional Director ( General) of Kerala Tourism department. She succeeds Mr. Jafar Malik IAS, who was appointed recently as the Director of Social Welfare Department , Kerala.
Ms. Mrunmai is a Law graduate and 2013 batch of Indian Administrative Service, hails from Maharashtra. For last two years, she was serving as the Secretary of Kozhikode Corporation. She started her civil service career as Assistant collector, Ernakulum in 2014 and later joined as the Assistant secretary at Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India in 2015. She was also served as Sub collector at Kasaragod during 2015-2016 period. She is a voracious reader, and an ardent traveller. During her college days, she was associated with Times of India as a freelance writer.
