Air India will commence non-stop service between Delhi and Zurich starting on June 16, 2024, marking the airline’s entry into Switzerland and expanding the number of cities served by Air India in mainland Europe to seven.
Utilizing its state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft configured with two classes, Air India will operate on this new European route four days a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
This new Air India service offers travellers in Switzerland, southern Germany, and western Austria a convenient non-stop option to journey to Delhi, with seamless connections to destinations across Air India’s ever-expanding route network, notably in the Indian Subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and Australia.
Scheduled as flight AI151 departing Delhi at 1405hrs, and arriving in Zurich at 1915hrs, and flight AI152 departing Zurich at 2050hrs and arriving in Delhi at 0805hrs the next day, the timetable facilitates travellers to smoothly connect to Air India’s flights from Delhi to popular destinations such as Bangkok, Colombo, Dhaka, Ho Chi Minh City, Kathmandu, Melbourne, Phuket, Singapore, Sydney, among others.

With over 250 Swiss companies operating in India, hundreds of Indian companies in Switzerland, and an expanding Indian diaspora of nearly 18,000, these flights cater to robust demand for business and leisure travel in both directions.”
Wilson further commented, “Switzerland, consistently a top-ranking European destination for Indian tourists, will now be even more accessible, with these flights enhancing the economic and cultural connections between the two nations.”
