Mr. Aneesh KS, a seasoned hospitality professional with more than 26 years of experience in hotel and resort operations, sales, and general management, has been appointed as the General Manager of The Fern Residency Thekkady – Series by Marriott.
Known for his results-oriented leadership and commitment to operational excellence, he has built an impressive career delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving revenue growth, and developing high-performing teams across several leading hospitality brands in India.
During his distinguished career, Aneesh has held key leadership positions with renowned hospitality groups, including CGH Earth, where he served at Casino Hotel Kochi, Coconut Lagoon, and Spice Village. His professional journey has also included senior management roles at Hotel Confident Cascade, Mountain Club Resort, Cinnamon Thekkady, The Leela, and, most recently, Malabar Ocean Front Resort & Spa. Throughout these assignments, he has demonstrated expertise in hospitality management, strategic planning, revenue optimization, resort operations, and guest service excellence.
The Fern Residency Thekkady – Series by Marriott is a venture owned by the EVM Group, with 50 rooms located on the way to the entry point of the famous Periyar Tiger Reserve in Thekkady. Scheduled to open by the end of August and operated by The Fern – Series by Marriott, the resort will be the first international hotel chain property in Thekkady.
In his new role, Aneesh will focus on strengthening operational performance, enhancing guest satisfaction, and creating memorable hospitality experiences inspired by the rich culture, biodiversity, and natural heritage of Thekkady. He also aims to promote sustainable tourism practices, support local environmental initiatives, nurture talented hospitality professionals, and drive long-term business growth while creating value for guests, stakeholders, and the local community.
With his extensive industry experience and proven leadership capabilities, his appointment is expected to further strengthen the property’s position as one of Thekkady’s preferred hospitality destinations.
