Dusit Thani Himalayan Resort Dhulikhel, Nepal has announced the appointment of Mr. Ankit Sharma as General Manager of the property.
Sharma steps into the role after previously serving as Hotel Manager at the resort, bringing with him over 18 years of hospitality experience across Nepal and India. A globally mobile hospitality leader, he has built a strong track record in market leadership, commercial excellence, revenue optimisation, and high-performance team culture across luxury and upper-upscale brands including Hilton, Marriott and Starwood.
Prior to joining Dusit Thani Himalayan Resort, Sharma served as Commercial Director at Hilton Hotels & Resorts in Kathmandu, where he delivered annual revenue portfolios with consistent RevPAR leadership and 30+ point index outperformance in competitive markets, and played a key role in multiple pre-opening projects, including the successful launch of Hilton Kathmandu in 2024.
His earlier career spans VP – Growth Strategy at BluSalz Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., Gurugram; Director of Sales and Marketing at Marriott International, Chandigarh; and Account Director at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Gurgaon.
Sharma holds a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Maharishi Dayanand University, a Bachelor of Arts from B R Ambedkar University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Motel and Restaurant Management from Intercultural Open University, Netherlands. He has also pursued postgraduate studies in Journalism & Mass Communication and Social Work from Sam Higginbottom Allahabad University.
