Mr. Pawan Kumar takes on the role of Food and Beverage Manager at Courtyard By Marriott Shillong, bringing with him over 8 years of exceptional experience in food and beverage operations. An adept management professional, Pawan has consistently displayed a strong commitment to financial and regulatory compliance objectives. His strategic planning and execution of budgets, forecasts, cost-reduction techniques, and safety initiatives have earned him a reputation for excellence.
Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel & Hospitality Management and Catering Science from the College of Hospitality Administration, Jaipur, Pawan has also obtained prestigious certifications, including the Hyatt on Skills certification. His dedication to excellence has garnered recognition, including the Hystar of the Year 2013-2014 award and the Corona/Covid Warrior Award on International Hospitality Day from IIHM, IHC in 2021.
Before his current position, Pawan contributed his expertise to leading hotels in the country, including Hyatt Regency in Lucknow, Hyatt Regency in Ludhiana, and Lalit in Jaipur. Acknowledged as an innovative leader, he has introduced groundbreaking concepts and successfully launched notable ventures. His experience includes handling operations for city-wide events like Defexpo and BCCI T-20 Cricket matches between India and Sri Lanka within bio bubble settings, showcasing his ability to navigate complex logistical and safety requirements.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Pawan finds joy in indulging in his passions, including exhilarating bike rides and maintaining a dedicated fitness lifestyle.
