Cygnett Hotels & Resorts Pvt Ltd has announced the appointment of Sumit Ghosh as Associate Vice President – Sales, reinforcing its senior leadership team as the hospitality group scales operations across multiple Indian markets.
In his new role, Ghosh will spearhead the company’s sales strategy, strengthen key account relationships, and drive revenue growth across Cygnett’s expanding portfolio. His responsibilities encompass corporate sales, key account management, market development, and synchronization of sales initiatives with Cygnett’s broader growth strategies. He will work closely with senior leadership and asset partners to optimize commercial performance and market penetration.
Ghosh brings over 24 years of comprehensive experience in the hospitality industry, with substantial expertise in sales leadership, business development, and revenue management across branded hotel chains. His career demonstrates a consistent track record of restructuring business operations, forging corporate alliances, and driving top-line revenue growth.
His academic credentials reflect a strong foundation in both hospitality management and business strategy. He holds a PGDBA in Marketing Management from SCDL – Symbiosis, Pune, a Diploma in Hotel Management from IIHM, Kolkata, and a BA in International Hospitality Management from Queen Margaret University, Scotland.
Prior to joining Cygnett Hotels & Resorts, Ghosh held leadership positions with several prestigious hospitality brands including Wyndham Hotel Group, Royal Orchid Hotels, Sarovar Hotels & Resorts, Jaypee Hotels, Best Western Premier, and Sunday Hotels. His experience spans both metropolitan markets and emerging regions, providing him with nuanced understanding of diverse market dynamics, customer segments, and operational challenges across India’s hospitality landscape.
