Dr. Dileep M. R., a prominent tourism academician, and researcher has been appointed as the Director of the Kerala Institute of Travel & Tourism Studies (KITTS) under the Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala on deputation. Dr. Dileep, who was the Associate Professor of Tourism and Vice Principal of Pulpally Pazassiraja College.
Dr. Dileep has worked as Tourism Faculty and System-Wi Coordinator for seven years in the Ministry of Higher Education, Sultanate of Oman. Dileep is also an alumnus of KITTS and former faculty of the same institution.
KITTS is an autonomous institute under the Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala catering to the needs of the global tourism industry started on September 27, 1988, as the southern chapter of the Indian Institute of Travel & Tourism Management of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. This ISO certified (9001: 2008) institute conducts various courses and training programmes for both students and professionals in the Tourism industry and is the part of UNWTO global education initiative as a Knowledge Network member.
