Eco Hotels Bets on Riya Travels to Take Sustainable Hospitality to the World

Eco Hotels and Resorts Limited has formed a strategic alliance with Riya Travel & Tours, opening the doors to one of India’s most expansive travel distribution networks – and signalling an ambitious push to bring eco-conscious hospitality to a far wider audience.

The partnership gives Eco Hotels direct access to Riya Group’s B2B platform, Riya Connect, which services over 75,000 travel agents across India. For a brand built on an asset-light growth model, the move is strategically sharp: instead of building distribution from scratch, Eco Hotels inherits a network that already has scale, reach, and trust baked in.
The integration extends beyond the agent network. Eco Hotels’ portfolio will be woven into Riya Holidays – the Group’s leisure travel vertical known for curated, experience-led packages – connecting the brand with a consumer base that actively seeks meaningful travel. The combination of B2B depth and leisure appeal is designed to lift both occupancy and revenue per available room without demanding heavy capital deployment.

Corporate travel is the third dimension of the deal. Riya’s established footprint in the MICE and corporate segments opens a largely untapped revenue channel for Eco Hotels, with the potential to drive year-round banquet and room business – the kind of steady, recurring revenue that leisure tourism alone rarely guarantees.
Commenting on the alliance, Eco Hotels Chairman Vinod Kumar Tripathi said the partnership was about more than distribution. “We are confident that Eco Hotels will reach new markets and deliver our eco-conscious hospitality experience to travellers across India and globally,” he noted, adding that the collaboration was aimed at making sustainable hospitality more accessible while promoting responsible tourism.
Tripathi also extended appreciation to GMJ Thampy, Founder and Chairman & Managing Director of Riya Group, for his trust in building what he described as a long-term, mutually rewarding relationship.
For Eco Hotels, the message is clear: sustainable hospitality no longer needs to occupy a niche corner of the market. With the right distribution muscle behind it, it can travel – and this partnership may well be the vehicle that takes it there.
