From May 18th to May 19th, 2024, the retreat will celebrate the legacy of Mappila cuisine with an exquisite dinner and Sunday brunch experience.
Drawing inspiration from her grandmother’s traditional recipes, the 60-year-old home chef from Kozhikode, Kerala, Abida Rasheed, will showcase the essence of Malabar food with dishes such as Erachi Pathiri, Chemeen Molak Kari, and Arikadaka. Each dish tells a story of heritage and culinary expertise, reflecting the unique flavours and aromas of Mappila cuisine.
Mappila cuisine, distinct to the Muslims of the Malabar Coast, offers a delicate balance of fresh spices and aromatic herbs, rooted in Arabic cooking traditions. With a lighter touch of cream and butter, these dishes captivate the senses and leave a lasting impression on discerning palates.
