The Kochi Biennale Foundation (KBF) has welcomed Adeeb Ahamed, founder of Adeeb & Shafeena Foundation and founder-MD of LuLu Financial Holdings, as a Platinum Benefactor.
With a generous five-year grant supporting the activities of KBF, he joins a distinguished group of Platinum Benefactors, which includes Kiran Nadar, Shabana Faizal, Mariam Ram, and Sangita Jindal. He is also a member of the Kochi Biennale Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr Venu V, Chairperson of the KBF, said Mr Ahamed’s support will strengthen the Foundation’s long-term vision and sustain its artistic and educational initiatives.


Mr Ahamed’s work spans financial services, hospitality, and social development across the GCC, India, and the Asia-Pacific. A vocal advocate for inclusive growth and financial innovation, he regularly contributes to global economic discourse through international platforms such as the World Economic Forum.
Deeply committed to social development, he supports initiatives focused on girls’ education and community healthcare, especially in his home state of Kerala, through the Adeeb & Shafeena Foundation, which he co-founded with his wife, Shafeena Yusuff Ali.
Mr Ahamed’s support of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale (KMB) is yet another testament to his sustained interest in the cultural and social development of the state.
“Initiatives like the KMB are crucial for the cultural and tourism development of Kochi. It is a matter of great pride to support the Biennale which plays a vital role in enriching the cultural landscape of Kochi,” he said.
Mr Ahamed holds several leadership positions, including Chair of FICCI’s Middle East Council and Board Member of Vision Bank, Saudi Arabia. He is also a Board Member of the UAE International Investors Council and a Founding Member of the UAE-India Business Council.
In 2023, he won the Leading Fintech Personality of the Year Award (GCC) at the Global Fintech Awards, and in 2024, he was named one of Forbes’ Top Travel & Tourism Leaders in the Middle East. Kochi Biennale Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to art and education. Founded by a group of artists in 2010, it organises KMB, India’s first and South Asia’s longest-running Biennale, every two years.
The sixth edition of the Biennale opens on 12 December 2025, and runs through March 31, 2026.
