Fortune Park Hotels, part of ITC’s hotel group, has plans to expand its presence across India by adding 15 new properties over the next two-and-a-half years, totalling around 1,500 rooms. The expansion targets domestic tourism demand, particularly in smaller cities and areas known for pilgrimage tourism.
The company currently operates 42 properties with approximately 3,200 rooms. Managing Director Samir MC emphasizes the importance of understanding the needs of Indian consumers and their cultural preferences, which informs the company’s growth strategy in various parts of the country, including tier one, tier two, and tier three cities.
The upcoming hotels will be located in areas such as Kalimpong, Hoshiarpur, Amritsar, Tirupur, and Goa, and are expected to contribute around 1,200 rooms to the portfolio. The company is also considering expansion into other pilgrimage destinations such as Shirdi, Ajmer, and Deoghar.
Fortune Park Hotels reports strong domestic travel demand, especially in tier II and III cities, and a recovery from the impact of the pandemic. The company has exceeded pre-pandemic occupancy and revenue per available room numbers, indicating strong business performance for this fiscal year.
