Tourism Minister Shri PA Mohamed Riyas to inaugurate Feb 2-3 event at Hotel Tripenta
Showcasing Kerala as the domain leader in wellness tourism, the first International Ayurveda and Wellness Conclave will be held here from February 2-3.
Kerala Tourism Minister Mr. PA Mohamed Riyas will inaugurate the conclave at Hotel Tripenta, Opp Sarovaram Bio Park, Mini Bypass Road, Kozhikode on February 2 at 11 am.
Organised by Ayurveda Promotion Society (APS) in association with Department of Tourism and allied tourism/health organizations, the conclave will bring together Ayurveda scholars, global wellness experts, policymakers, academics, industry leaders, travel trade professionals and international stakeholders.
Besides serving as a forum for clinching business collaborations, the meet will see insightful presentations by Ayurveda and wellness experts and industry stakeholders, imparting an impetus to the state’s efforts to emerge as a leader in Ayurveda and wellness tourism based on a responsible and sustainable development model.
Eminent personalities who have contributed to the development of Wellness and Ayurveda-based Tourism will be felicitated at the inaugural ceremony.
The Conclave will serve as a strategic platform for knowledge exchange, policy development, B2B networking, and global collaborations, thereby accelerating Kerala’s emergence as the world’s most trusted destination for Ayurveda and holistic wellness tourism.
On the inaugural day, the panel session on ‘Kerala as a Global Hub of Ayurveda’ will feature Dr T S Krishna Kumar, CRAV GURU- Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, Ministry of Ayush, New Delhi; Dr Indulal, Trustee, Akami Ayurveda Foundation, Angamali; Mr Jose Dominic, Co- Founder, CGH Earth Experience; and Dr Alathiyoor Narayanan Nambi, Principal and Medical Director of Ashtangam Ayurveda Chikitsalayam and Vidyameedham, as panelists. Dr Induchoodan, Medical Director, Rudraksham Arogyashramam and Member of the National Ayurveda Tourism Sub-Committee of FICCI, will be the moderator.
Dr Hari Pallatheri, Founder, Sudarshanam Ayurveda LLP and Chief Ayurveda Consultant for Isha Yoga Centre, Coimbatore; Mr Kaithapram Vasudevan Namboothiri, Director, Patanjali Yoga Training & Research Centre; Dr Nariparambu Devan Nampoothiri; Dr Raveendranath PMS, Medical Director, Poonthottam Ayurvedasram, will share their views on ‘Integrating Ayurveda & Yoga into Wellness Tourism’ at a session to be moderated by Dr Yadunanandan K P.
The session on ‘Research in Ayurveda and International Acceptance’ will have Dr P R Ramesh, Clinical Research Head, Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal and NABH AYUSH Assessor; Dr Pradeep K, Professor, Government Ayurveda College, Kannur; Dr Ram Manohar, Research Head, Amrita Ayurveda; and Dr Kiratha Moorthi, Principal, Vishnu Ayurveda College, as panelists. Dr Manoj Kaloor will moderate the session.
Day 1 will also see Mr Baby Mathew, Chairman and MD, Somatheeram Ayurveda Group; Mr Karthik Dave, Managing Director, IdeeGlobous Reisen; Mr M D Javed Khan, GM, Tulah Clinical Wellness; and Mr C S Vinod, MD, ITP Tourism Managers Pvt Ltd., attending the session on ‘Medical Value Travel & Ayurveda’. Mr Sivaprasad P V, Founder & Director, MCS Medical Tourism Pvt. Ltd., will be the moderator.
A day-long structured B2B interaction connecting 150 international & domestic buyers, 100 Ayurveda service providers from Kerala will be held on February 3 at Dimora Hotel at Thondayad Bypass Road near Cyberpark, Kozhikode.
The event will facilitate extensive B2B networking between 100 Kerala sellers, 120 International Agents/Operators, 30 Indian Agents/Operators, 30 Yoga Operators, 30 International and 20 Indian Bloggers & Media Representatives.
It will also focus on strengthening Kerala’s standing in medical value travel, wellness retreats, Ayurveda healthcare, and yoga tourism.
A tour for international Ayurveda and Yoga ambassadors has been planned from February 4 for international delegates across Kerala, including property visits.
The tour will start from Kozhikode on February 4 and conclude in the state capital on February 12.
During the tour, the delegates will visit Ayurveda resorts and wellness retreats, Yoga destinations and Ayurveda hospitals and Ayurveda manufacturing facilities across the state.
The programme also includes curated cultural and heritage experiences such as Kerala Kalamandalam, Kochi Muziris Biennale, Kochi Port Cruise, and other key attractions, offering a comprehensive exposure to Kerala’s Ayurveda, wellness, and cultural ecosystem.
