IATO Thanks to the Government for revising MoHFW guidelines

Mr. Rajiv Mehra, President of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) thanked the Government for revising MoHFW guidelines and removing the clause of 7 days quarantine for all nationals. Besides this relief, the list of high-risk countries has also been removed, which is good as there were some key source markets in the list of high-is risk countries. Mr. Rajiv Mehra has appealed that the guideline further is liberalised in the next 10 days making it foreign tourist friendly.

He thanked Shri Arvind Singh, Secretary Tourism, and the entire team in the Ministry for supporting the industry in getting the guidelines revised from MoHFW.

IATO has now reminded the concerned Ministries for resumption of normal schedule International Flight Operations as per bilateral agreement which was in force before March 2020 and we hope this will also be resolved soon. Presently there are only a limited number of air bubble flights are operating to some selected countries and airfare is very high. Once normal international flight operation is resumed, airfares will come down drastically, and foreign tourists will start travelling to India, Mr. Mehra mentioned.

He is also hopeful that e-Visa restrictions will also be removed by this month end.
