Prague, often referred to as the “City of a Hundred Spires,” is known for its rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant arts scene. However, there’s one event that adds a contemporary and enchanting twist to the city’s cultural landscape – the Signal Festival of Prague. This annual light and multimedia festival transforms the historic streets and landmarks of Prague into a mesmerizing display of art and technology.
The Signal Festival is an internationally acclaimed festival that celebrates the intersection of art, technology, and urban space. It showcases an array of light installations, multimedia performances, and interactive art exhibitions that bring Prague’s streets and buildings to life after dark. The festival aims to create a unique sensory experience for visitors by blending cutting-edge technology with artistic creativity, all while highlighting the city’s rich cultural heritage.
This year the signal festival is taking place in Prague from October 12th to October 15th, 2023. Under the direction of Czech and international experts in light design in artistic spaces, Prague’s streets and public areas, its most popular historical monuments as lesser-known corners, all change throughout four evenings to capture the different facades of today’s and yesterday’s Prague in non-traditional ways.
