As World Cocktail Day approaches, the spirits of bartenders across Kerala are soaring high with anticipation for an event that promises to be both spirited and sensational. The inaugural “Cock-Fight” cocktail competition, organized by the esteemed UDS Group of Hotels, is gearing up to bring together the finest mixologists from across the region for a showdown of creativity, skill, and flair.
Scheduled to take place on May 13th, 2024, at the picturesque Uday Samudra in Kovalam, the event has already generated buzz within the hospitality industry. With its aim to celebrate the artistry of cocktail making and foster camaraderie among hoteliers, resorts, and bars, the “Cock-Fight” promises an evening of innovation, excitement, and, of course, impeccable cocktails.
“We wanted to create a platform where bartenders could not only showcase their skills but also inspire one another,” said Mr R.S. Nair, Managing Director of UDS Group of Hotels. “The ‘Cock-Fight’ is not just a competition; it’s a celebration of the craft and the community.”
The competition is open to all bartenders across Kerala, with entry being free of charge. Participants are encouraged to bring their own glasses, presentations, and recipes to display their unique concoctions. The event organisers will provide hard drinks and other beverages, ensuring that participants have all they need to unleash their creativity behind the bar.
In addition to the thrill of competing, participants can look forward to various amenities, including wash and change room facilities, lunch or dinner, and evening tea and snacks. The competition is designed to showcase existing talents to inspire innovation and creativity among participants.
