International Temples Convention and Expo at Tirupathi

The International Temples Convention and Expo (ITCX) returns with its highly anticipated second edition. Building on the phenomenal success of its inaugural chapter in 2023, which earned widespread acclaim and support from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, ITCX 2025 promises an even grander scale and impact. This prestigious event will take place in the revered temple city of Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, from February 17 to 19, 2025.

Developed by Temple Connect (India), ITCX is the world’s first dedicated platform for the comprehensive management of temples worldwide. It aims to empower excellence in temple administration, operations, and economic advancements. Led by Mr Giresh Kulkarni, Founder of Temple Connect, and co-chaired by Prasad Lad (Chairman of ITCX 2025 and Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council), this landmark event is backed by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, under the “Incredible India” initiative.

Registrations are now open, and temple managers and representatives are invited to register by January 31, 2025. Two representatives per temple can attend free of charge, with accommodations covered. Additional trustees may join for a nominal fee and participate in committee discussions to gain deeper insights.

The convention will address critical aspects of temple management, including safety, security, strategic fund management, disaster preparedness, sanitation, hygiene, and large-scale food distribution. Additionally, ITCX 2025 will introduce over 75 high-tech innovations in the Temple & Faith Tech space, enhancing operations and enriching the devotee experience. Topics such as crowd and queue management, sustainable waste practices, and infrastructure development will also be explored to strengthen the temple ecosystem holistically.

Over three immersive days, ITCX will create a global forum for temple management teams, including trustees and administrators from Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism, and Buddhism. A key highlight is the Case Study Exhibition (CSE), featuring insights from devotional institutions across 58 countries. This exclusive platform fosters best practices and sustainable approaches to temple administration, offering an invaluable learning experience.

Furthermore, ITCX provides a unique opportunity for younger generations, brand solutions providers, and policymakers to engage with the temple ecosystem. The convention will feature 111 expert speakers, interactive workshops, and specialized masterclasses, including the new Temple Talks stage—a dedicated forum for case studies and thought leadership discussions. To accommodate global participation, the event will be held in a hybrid format.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Mr Giresh Kulkarni stated, “I’m thrilled to announce that ITCX 2025 will be held in the holy city of Tirupati. Following the success of our first edition, which welcomed representatives from hundreds of temples, we anticipate an even larger gathering of over 1,580 temples from 58+ countries and 2,400+ delegates in a hybrid format. Together, we will strengthen temple ecosystems and uplift spiritual communities through insights from visionary leaders and supporters.”

With spiritual tourism experiencing a significant surge in India—holding a 30% market share and projected to reach $130 billion by 2032—ITCX 2025 emerges as a beacon of innovation. By integrating global expertise and advanced technology, the convention equips temple administrators with actionable solutions to preserve tradition while embracing modern advancements.

Prasad Lad, Chairman of ITCX 2025, added, “ITCX stands as a testament to our rich temple heritage, fostering national pride while driving transformation within the temple ecosystem. Beyond management, the convention showcases global temple arts, crafts, and traditions, ensuring an impactful and immersive experience for all participants.”

As ITCX 2025 prepares to welcome temple leaders, innovators, and changemakers, it stands poised to revolutionize temple administration and enhance spiritual tourism worldwide.
