Isada Saovaros assumes the role of Director at the Tourism Authority of Thailand Mumbai Office. With over 23 years of experience, Mr. Saovaros brings extensive knowledge of the travel industry to his new position. Effective August 1st, 2022, he will oversee operations in western and southern India, as well as Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Previously serving as the Director of Trat province, Saovaros is well-prepared to lead the Mumbai office. “I am eager to collaborate closely with our trade partners and media in this region to ensure Thailand maintains its position as one of the top overseas destinations in the Indian market,” said Mr. Isada Saovaros. “We are aiming for arrivals to reach 500,000 by the end of the year.”
Thailand Tourism Ministry data reveals that between January and July 2022, the country welcomed over 300,000 Indian arrivals, solidifying India’s position as one of Thailand’s top five tourism markets.
