A new era in luxury hospitality dawned as President Ranil Wickremesinghe of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka officially inaugurated the prestigious ITC Ratnadipa hotel in the heart of Colombo. This landmark event witnessed the convergence of esteemed dignitaries, including Dinesh Gunewardena Prime Minister of SriLanka, I Santosh Jha Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Sanjiv Puri, Chairman and Managing Director of ITC Ltd, India, and Anil Chadha, Divisional Head of ITC Hotels

Inspired by Sri Lanka’s national flower, the floating water lily, ITC Ratnadipa exudes elegance and opulence across its 352 meticulously crafted guest rooms, suites, and service apartments. Each space boasts private balconies offering panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and Beira Lake, setting the stage for an unparalleled hospitality experience.

Situated along the picturesque shores of the Indian Ocean, ITC Ratnadipa stands tall as a beacon of architectural brilliance. Its two majestic towers, housing the hotel and luxurious Sapphire Residences, are connected by the awe-inspiring ‘Ahasa’ sky bridge, a testament to innovative design and engineering.

Mr Sanjiv Puri, Chairman and Managing Director of ITC Ltd, expressed his pride in launching ITC Ratnadipa, highlighting the company’s commitment to sustainable luxury and cultural integration. He emphasized ITC Hotels’ renowned culinary expertise, with a focus on promoting local cuisine through initiatives like ‘Local Love,’ which draws inspiration from Sri Lanka’s rich culinary heritage.

The Indian Ocean Pavilion offers breathtaking views alongside an exquisite buffet selection, while Yi Jing showcases traditional Chinese delicacies. Mr. Sujeet Kumar holds the position of General Manager at ITC Ratnadipa in Colombo, overseeing operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences. Joining him is Mr. Denvor Steinwall, who serves as the Director of Food and Beverage, responsible for curating exquisite culinary offerings. At the helm of the culinary team is Executive Chef, Mr. Anurudh Khanna, renowned for his culinary expertise and innovation. Ms. Rajani Pillai leads the Sales & Marketing department, driving strategies to promote the unique offerings of ITC Ratnadipa in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
