Jay Kantawala to Lead TAFI Western India Chapter for 2025-2027

The Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) – Western India Chapter held its Annual General Meeting and elections on June 26, 2025, at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club. The event marked a new chapter of leadership and collaboration for the travel trade community.

Mr. Jay Kantawala, Managing Director of WIYO Travel, Mumbai, was elected as the new Chairman of the Western India Chapter. The new leadership team also includes Mr. Arun Iyer, Managing Director of Maa Air Ticket Centre Pvt. Ltd., Thane, who was elected as Secretary, and Mr. Satbir Singh Narula, Managing Director of Pyramid Tours & Allied Services Pvt. Ltd., who was elected as Treasurer. Ms. Kalpana Sawlani of Bombino Travels & Tours Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Manish Mayani of Padmaja Travels Pvt. Ltd. will serve as Committee Members.

The well-attended event saw enthusiastic participation from TAFI members across the region, reflecting the association’s continued strength and the members’ commitment to driving collective growth in a rapidly evolving travel landscape. The election proceedings were smoothly conducted under the supervision of Mr. Agnel Pinto, Associate Vice President of Indigo Airlines, who served as the Returning Officer.

This newly elected team brings together a blend of industry expertise, innovation, and commitment to TAFI’s vision of fostering professional development, ethical practices, and member welfare within the Indian travel trade.

With this new leadership at the helm, the Western India Chapter is poised to strengthen its role in advocacy, skill development, and strategic engagement with both government and industry stakeholders. The team has pledged to continue promoting responsible tourism, building stronger partnerships, and ensuring greater value for all TAFI members.
