Mr.K.Ramachandran is the new Tourism Minister of Tamil Nadu

As per the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Mr.M. K. Stalin’s recommendation Mr.K.Ramachandran., Minister for Forests, has been re-designated as Minister for Tourism, while the forest portfolio has gone to Mr. M. Mathiventhan, who earlier functioned as the Minister for Tourism.

Mr. K.Ramachandran was born in Ilithurai village in Coonoor and is a well-known tribal leader from the hill district of Nilgiris, which is one of the major hill station destinations of the state. He was elected to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly as a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(DMK) candidate from the Gudalur constituency in 2006 and from the Coonoor constituency in 2011 and 2021. He also served as the Minister for Khadi of Tamil Nadu from 2006-2011 in the Cabinet of Dr.M. Karunanidhi.
