The Karnataka Tourism Society (KTS), the state’s leading association for tourism and hospitality professionals, successfully concluded its 6th Annual General Meeting (AGM) today, which included the election of a new management committee. This newly elected body will lead the society for the next two-year term, focusing on fortifying the organization’s mission and ongoing projects.
The KTS has long been recognized as a proactive partner to both state and national government agencies, dedicated to enhancing Karnataka’s profile as a premier tourism destination. The incoming team has pledged its commitment to continuing and strengthening this vision.
New Office Bearers and Executive Committee for 2025-27


The elections saw Mr. K. Syama Raju take the helm as the new President. He will be supported by Mr. S Mahalingaiah as Vice President, Mr. H. Jagadeesh as Secretary, and Mr. P. C. Rao as Joint Secretary. Mr. G.K. Shetty was elected Treasurer.
The Executive Committee members elected for the 2025-27 term include Mr. Ayappa Somaiah, Mr. Radhakrishna Holla, Mr. Prabhu Shankar, Mr. Chidambaram, Mr. Vijaya Kumar, Mr. Jayaram HR, Mr. Pathapati Tharun Kumar, Mr. Sandeep Dumale, Mr. Sandeep Hegde, and Mr. Roshan Pinto. The leadership team will also include Mr. B.S. Prashanth as Special Invitee and Mr. H.T. Ratnakar as Convener.
President Commits to Innovation and Excellence
In his first address, the new President, Mr. K. Syama Raju, expressed his enthusiasm for the path ahead. He emphasized the shared goal of the society’s members, stating, “It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I extend a heartfelt welcome to each one of you as the President of the Karnataka Tourism Society. In the dynamic realm of tourism and hospitality, we are united by a common passion for innovation, excellence, and the transformative power of our stakeholders here in Karnataka. I look forward to working alongside each of you as we embark on this exciting journey together.”
The KTS will now begin its new term with a focus on implementing its strategic agenda and collaborating with stakeholders to boost the tourism sector across Karnataka.
